QR Codes, Quick Response Codes Explained

Another reason to like Toyota!  Denso, a Toyota subsidiary, created quick response codes for tracking.  We can generate the code for you, make sure it works, and advise you on possible quick response code uses.  QR codes can even be placed on T-shirts, but possibly the best use of QR codes is from paper to cell phone, such as might be found in an advertisement.

Not all quick response codes are created equal.  Please see our business card tutorial  which demonstrates the usage of an address book QR code:

The business card has a QR code. Thank goodness for the easy add to contacts.  No fumbling with your phone!
You’ve already gone to market (Android) or to the iTunes store (iPhone) and downloaded a free barcode scanner application. For an Android, we suggest ZXing’s barcode scanner.  Open the application with one click.
Once the application is open, hit “Scan”. Make sure you can see the entire QR code in your viewfinder as your phone scans. Hold steady until your phone tells you what the QR says.
This QR code contains Heather Suess’ Minnesota Siren address book data, and so you, the smartphone user, can now instantly add her phone number and email address to your list of contacts. There is also an option to go directly to the Minnesota Siren website!
