Google Engine Optimization, or GEO

I landed in San Diego, did a smartphone search for Gas Lamp, and opened up Google maps. I felt a tad devious when maps brought up Milan, Italy. Google didn’t know where I was!  I am in my Google account on my phone, on my laptop (when I sign in), and on my iPad.  Internet activity from all of those devices ends up in a database, and my Milan search (on my laptop) must have left Google maps guessing. I put an end to my anonymity by turning on GPS.  I don’t do anything extraordinary and I am not angry, and so it doesn’t bother me if Google compiles data.  It isn’t logical for my overall activity to be of interest.
